Last week ALES Digital participated in an information session overviewing some details about the migration from Sitecore to Cascade CMS.
- Modules that have linkages to external processes will have to be manually integrated into Cascade. Simple, static content pages will be migrated by URD as part of the process.
- The current events calendar process will not be migrated and no option is offered by URD within the Cascade system. The ALES Digital team is exploring options to maintain this important feature at the Faculty level.
- Content that exists in the Sitecore backend, but is not published or live during the migration, will not be migrated to Cascade. This includes content pages, images, and documents (PDF, Word Docs, etc).
Over the next few months, URD will make more information available to us — which we’ll pass along as soon as we can.
